Rained the last three weeks.   Only lost four toenails!  Morning mist on the mountains. That's not using zoom- they were that close!!

Francesca is home!!!!!!!

I returned home on Sat. May 12 into the loving arms of family- Cary and Sage and Ty too :) :) :)
Jet lag is finally over and yesterday I drove the Henry's to STL for their flight back to AZ.
My walk across Spain (425 miles) was an adventure filled with memorable people, places, situations and LOTS of pictures. 
This is ust a quick post to let you know I'm home and will be posting pics and info soon .

Has anyone heard from Francesca?  She should be closing in on Santiago in the next day or two, shouldn't she?  Let us know!!!!!

May 1st

I just looked at Fran's older posts. Hard to believe she's been on the Camino since middle of March. And she's on the home stretch now.  I JUST got a text from her. "Just checking in. Low on minutes. Ten tough miles today. Lots of short, but steep, up and downs. :(. I am just outside Sarria in an alberque we stayed at in 08. Love to all."

My phone just rang. It was Fran! Asking if I was still on the blog. Where she stayed at yesterday was a real adventure. It was raining hailing so she took the first place she found without checking it out. The bathroom was a shared bath....by the 4 German bikers who came in after her. They proceeded to not put down the lid, to not mop up after their shower when the floor was flooded with water, to come in very late after going out, AND her room was above the bar of the place. But she sounded GREAT!!! We love you Francesca.
