Maiden Rock

I'm getting excited about the craft weekend with everyone. I got a call from Fran and we went over the Lemoncello inventory. We've got it covered! I'm bringing THE cookbook. Haven't decided on the recipes to make yet. It's really tough to decide. I want to make something that will be wonderful in HOT weather (drinks anyone?).....forget food.  Just kidding.  I can't wait to see all the craft plans everyone has to do. I have 2! Well almost sort of. Still in the works. Nothing yet....BUT if I get what I ordered in the 7 days as anticipated I'll have 1. Then #2 I still have to get. SEE YOU IN WISCONSIN!

just 5 weeks and we're off to spain.  our training right now is 5 miles of walking a day.  I found a great route with 10 major hills so my legs are getting in great shape.  next month we train with the pack.  so not looking forward to that part, but it will help to be ready for the real deal .  we are going to do this.

We're home from Tuscany.

I'm doing this on the Apple computer so bear with. I'm trying to get use to it because I'm gonna get an Apple phone like Ann's. Her phone worked great while we were on vacation. She was able to Facetime with David and I easily called Roger with it. It's the AT&T network with an I-phone 4.

When I got home the first thing Roger said was "What are you gonna cook" so after an all-day nap we headed out to Des Moines for supper at our favorite fish restaurant that also has a fish market. The fish guy explained that I can order any kind of fish whole as long as I let them know in advance. I want to make the salt-encrusted fish dish. They may have some red snapper coming in this week. SWEET!!!!

I can't post pictures yet. None of our luggage made it. Long story. Ask next time I see you for details!
Hopefully it will come soon........If I go on line it says "Case closed". If I call the automated line it says "Baggage has not been located yet". I'm confused.

In conclusion, I had a wonderful time and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Oh so much accomplished!

This is goat. Found the stemless wine glasses BUT I looked at them when we got to the hotel and there's a problems. It says Germany not italy. I'll see. That's not what the label said :). Babies and adults with binkies with the parade. Why????? Palio tradition. Go figure. Also bought multiple bags of porcini mushrooms. Bad crop this year per wine doc so I stocked up. 7 to 10 euros a bag. :)
