The day started with a "burro run". As we left Roncesvillas the Grandpa with the donkey and his grandson were heading out also. We took their picture and vice verse by the sign. Then we started the walk. Rand struck up a conversation with the grandson (19 also). Then first town I see a coffee place so we stop. Then the run started because don't you know a conversation about code was interrupted.
Because of this, I have decided I have a donkey's pace.
The fledglings are now arguing whose turn it is to do laundry. Other things also but the conversation involves body parts. Some things Grandma's shouldn't here.

That is one awesome picture. You pilgrims are awesome. What great days you are having.
Are the grandpa and grandson from Spain
Hahaha hopefully Grandpa has a donkey pooper scooper he hands grandson when duty calls! Watch where you're walking is all i'm saying.
An "ass-pace" is my pace also when I'm walking-it allows one MANY advantages:
you enjoy your surroundings more since you're not "flying by",others may pass you but remember "it's not a race"-your destination will still be there, more photo ops,
you can keep an eye on the young'uns, and finally-maybe Grandpa will let you lead the ass down the path !!
Rose did you follow that ass for 16 miles?
Grandpa is from France Grandson was born France. Both parents are French. Moved to Californiaia when he was 3. Speaks fluent English and French
Ha ha. No
The pictures and your comments are great! I forgot to give any notes. Here's one: Even a cloudy or rainy day on the camino beats a sunny day in Iowa!
