What a special day. Liz lite a cable at St Nicolas church. We found a wonderful bakery in Sahagan and got these pastries that HONEST tasted just like Mom's streudel but with lemon and cream filling. We stayed last night at this Albergue that was kind to give us space on the dining room floor to sleep. Had rubber mats. We were the last of 4 people put there. One was a BIG TIME snorer .
Then bright and early the lights went on because it was time to get coffee for everyone. We Scedaddled and this is the first time I have had NO coffee all day. That's what the Meseta does. Long stretches of no restaurants or bars to get stuff.
We are staying tonight in this wonderful Albergue with private showers. And there's a restaurant. All the locals are here since it's the weekend and the town is only 200 people
Fran. We found the note! Loved it. The Irish prayer. Thank you

You are both looking too thin-eat more of those yummy pastries and wash-em down with a cold cervezes:)
Note-my comment about the "hippy guy" was wrong-u are no where near Astorga yet, so give him a howdy from Francesca when you see him. Warning-he usually greets one-and-all with a big hug-but he is soo delightful and real easy on the eyes !!
You both are looking thin but ever soooo happy. Your big bright smiles make me smile!!!
