PCR #4

The ice cream picture made me think of another reflection question...Is there any food you're looking forward to trying in Spain? Maybe something you've read about, maybe something you've had in the states but want the authentic experience? Is there any food from home you think you'll miss and want to replace, maybe a favorite ice cream from Cold Stone?

Paella and tapas. We didn't have them on any menu on the camino that I can remember. In the big city we had tapas one time (Leon?).
So I'll have my radar out for those two for sure. Spaniards don't live to eat. They eat to live so the portions are adequate and the food is very natural without alot of fuss or sauces. I look forward to the breakfast thingies...what do they call them Fran. It's round and you get a piece...oh yeah, frittatas. The figs we grab from trees on the trail are outstanding. Maybe we'll run into roasted chestnuts in Santiago. I still don't like calamara.

I'm a no fuss cook so I should love it. Don't like figs or chestnuts.
