A picture says a thousand words- these two precious girls will hear OMA's tale of her journey in Spain . It will be sweetened with stories and pictures with the hope that as they mature and grow their sense of adventure and strong family bonds will lead them on many of their own journeys. They, along with the rest of my family will be in my thoughts daily as I hike over the varied terrains of northern Spain with my three sisters.
The fact that I am not alone on this journey will be the compeling force that will have me pulling on my boots and hoisting up my pack- BRING IT ON!!!!!
The mantra that I used when I walked with Rose was "Yukon Do It- Stop Whining" (name ofnail polish on my toes). I plan on using it again this walk . Since our feet get alot of abuse walking so many hours a day, they subsequently get alot of hands-on attention i.e.-massages, daily checks for blisters and hot-spots , and soaking in cool water (a fountain, running stream or in a pinch a bidet works great. YES, I've done it and it works great!).
*Note to Rose- Remember the book about the mystic and the group of women on the camino?
Look up what the "tag" said and come up with an appropriate one for The Ladies of Spain to use.

Aah, tear in eye back at ya.
That would be "hag" tag. A witch on a broom to let fellow pilgrims know the mood is a little ugly for the time being.
Anybody have ideas on a tag for LOS?
I'm thinking.
