A journal of 4 sisters taking a 5 week walking pilgrimage through Spain. Preparation, planning, execution, insights, and much more. Check in on their journey.
Who has started their pack training? Survey says....Goat has. I'm at full pack (19#). After building up to full and then a strap adjustment, I'm happy with the way my pack "rides". It's comfortable.
You guys are way ahead of me....I don't even have my second pair of pants yet. But I'm working on it. I got my sleeping bag and walking sticks this week and I will be posting the picture of the most important thing when I figure out what I'm getting for a new camera.
Yup, with water. The other day Rog had brought ice water into the car for me. The next evening I drank from it and he had this horrified look on his face and said "it's not cold". I just smiled and said "It's ok...you get use to it on the Camino. No ice cubes to be had".

I just walked with it 2 days this week. It's at 14-15#'s.
It feels good.
Is yours 19#'s with the water?

So our packs weigh the same 19#'s
I'm going to walk with mine this week with the 4#'s of water and see how it goes.
I have to do it eventually.
